This weekend, let's live on love and fresh water... and a little wine too, in moderation of course. A romantic weekend in the vineyard may seem cliché, and yet... Blaye Bourg Terres d'Estuaire knew how to surprise us, and make our bucolic getaway unique in the world. Memories of a beautiful summer break…”
SATURDAY
10 a.m.: play royal couples in the Citadel of Blaye
In this ancient fortress, the fruit of Vauban's genius, time has already stood still. We breathe, we get lost in the alleys, we stroll through the shops, we take a break every 10 meters. From this breathtaking viewpoint over the Estuary, we can glimpse these mysterious islands looming in the distance. Allies of the Citadel, Fort Médoc and Fort Pâté once protected any intrusion into the land. Today, they offer themselves in peace to the gaze of cruise passengers who come to admire them. Like us, for whom the romantic journey begins!
Place d'Armes will be our first stop for a charming lunch overlooking the water. And a first immersion in the local vineyard, thanks to a well-stocked map!
12:30 p.m.: lunch in peace (and as a couple) in Blaye
In or around the citadel, you will find several restaurants.

14:30 p.m.: departure for the Route de la Corniche
Reaching Bourg along the estuary is enchanting... Let's stop at the port of Roque de Thau and its pontoon above the waters, and further on, let's dream a little... At these troglodyte houses where life must be so sweet. With the flavor of a coffee taken in these gardens overlooking the water. To these squares once teeming with fishermen. To these mysterious islands that dart in the distance.
16:30 p.m.: love to the dregs at Château de la Grave
It all starts with a tasting. In this 19th century property located in the Côtes de Bourg vineyard, we produce red, white, natural sparkling wine and even… orange wine!
Let's discover our room Grave Castle : old-world charm and breathtaking views of the vineyard. Tonight we will have dinner in town… or not. Between the ethers and the angels' share: what if we instead tasted some local products nestled in our love nest?
Sauna in the dungeon, swimming pool with panoramic terrace, dream breakfast: what more could you ask for to relax? A digestive walk among the clusters perhaps, on the path “ the four seasons of the vine » arranged by the owners.
Sunday
10 a.m.: Bourg Market
Under the covered market hall of the village of Bourg, local producers offer you fruit, vegetables, meat, fish and cooked dishes to enjoy at the picnic tables of Parc Esconge. On the terrace, have a drink at the Cellar Villa Burgus before taking a tour of the showroom Cross Davids Space or the ceramic workshop Hands in the Earth.
12 p.m.: Lunch in the village
What if you took advantage of our restaurants to discover a little more about the gastronomy of the South-West?!

15:00 p.m.: Stroll through the streets of Bourg
Hand in hand, wander the streets and alleys of the ancient village of Bourg. A medieval city built on two levels, you discover the citadel garden and its museum, its wine shops, the art galleries and antique dealers and magnificent gems like the covered wash house or the Moorish villa.
