In 1927, Rémy Brèque, violin teacher, became passionate about the "champenoise method" today called "traditional method".
He then produces quality wines in his underground cellars in Saint Gervais, former stone quarries used in the construction of the city of Bordeaux.
In 1967, his grandson, Claude Bonnefis, and his wife Maryse, decided to continue the adventure of what would soon become the AOC Crémant de Bordeaux.
Their sons, Frédéric and Yannick, joined the family business in 1987 and now constitute the 4th generation of Maison Rémy Brèque.
