Château Petit Boyer
Château Petit Boyer was founded in 1946 with Yves Armand, the grandfather of Jean Vincent Bideau, current owner of the vineyard. The property was modernized and expanded with Jean Michel, his father, who passed on his passion for wine. And it is since 1997 that Jean Vincent Bideau has taken charge of the vineyard, which has increased from 12 hectares to 60 hectares today.
The vineyard plots are located mainly in Cars, a wine-growing village, the historic cradle of Blaye wines. The soil is clayey on a limestone base. Today the vineyard extends over several neighboring towns, in Berson, Saint Paul, Fours and Mazion, where certain plots benefit from a rare terroir made of red gravel.
We practice so-called “reasoned” agriculture in the vineyard, and today benefit from HVE3 certification (High Environmental Value level 3).
