La denominación Blaye Costas de Burdeos está situado al norte de los viñedos de Burdeos, en la margen derecha del estuario de la Gironda.
450 viticultores trabajan en 6000 hectáreas de terruño arcilloso-calcáreo, arcilloso-gravífero y arcilloso-arenoso. Sus tintos son potentes y amaderados, y sus blancos tienen notas florales.
