Château des Arras
A keep and military quarters in the 15th century and a manor house in 1560, Château des Arras stands on a hill overlooking the Dordogne. In the 18th century, openings were cut in, the moat filled and the current double-spiral staircase perron replaced the primitive drawbridge. In 1795, two wings were added along with a spacious patio leading to the gardens. The buildings needed to run the 27 ha vineyard were also erected at this time. This estate is a classic example of a fine Bordeaux property, a single stretch of land, a walled enclosure around the château, planted with the very best grape varieties. “Selective farming” label.
