The guided tour of the Blaye citadel (meet at Place d'Armes in the citadel, 5 minutes before the time indicated on your tickets) presents Vauban's defense system, life in the fortress in the 17th century and the Middle Ages, the evolution of the site since Antiquity and also takes you into the secret passages of the fortress.
We walk in ditches, we go up and down stairs (about a hundred steps), so we advise you to wear comfortable, waterproof shoes and to bring clothes suitable for the weather.
The guided tour takes place half outdoors and half indoors.
