Description
Originating from an initial medieval building linked to the defense of Blaye, this 16th-century house was sold as national property during the Revolution, then transformed into a farm during the 19th century, before almost falling into ruins in the 20th century. For several years, its new owner has been restoring it using the techniques of the time: solid oak spiral staircase, nailed floors, stained glass windows, etc. It is still partially surrounded by curtain walls and water ditches. Many remains were found on site (decorated floor tiles, pottery, etc.). The building is listed in the supplementary inventory of Historic Monuments. Visits are only outdoors.
