Day of visits and discoveries
11:15 a.m.-12:15 p.m.: Visit of the Peer-Non-Pair Cave in Prignac and Marcamps (reservation required). A prehistoric cave with engraved walls depicting animals: a 50-minute guided tour not to be missed!
12:30 p.m.: Lunch at the restaurant Kitchen and outbuilding à BourgA break in the heart of the medieval village located on the Dordogne.
Pleasant, attentive, quiet, large dining room and terrace. We tried starters, main courses, and desserts, and it was very hot at the end of July 2024! Next to the Gironde. A must-do!'
14 p.m.-16 p.m.: Discovery of the cornice road along the Gironde Estuary with a stop at Plassac on the port or at the Gallo-Roman villas. Breathtaking panoramas between the wines of Côtes de Bourg and the wines of Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux.
16h: Guided tour of the citadel of Blaye through the underground passages (reservation required). The guide will explain the evolution of the site since medieval times, why Vauban's work was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the lives of soldiers in the 17th century.
What better way to end this day than with a gourmet break at Vanilla Lily or Gourmet Herbal Tea Room ? Enjoy!
1001 ways to discover the vineyard
10h10: Winegrower's snack au Chateau Haut-Bourcier in Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux in Saint-Androny (reservation required). Why 10:10? It's the name of the wine you'll taste alongside your cheese and charcuterie board. A friendly moment to start your day off right!
12:30 p.m.: Lunch at Vauban counter in the citadel of BlayeThis traditional restaurant is in the heart of the citadel and its terrace has a view of the parade ground which overlooks the Gironde estuary. Otherwise we offer lunch at the property at Clos Ryval to Cartelégue.
14h: Escape game au Chateau Monconseil Gazin in Plassac. This is a unique way to discover the aromas, colors, and production of wine. With your team, you'll have to solve several puzzles to escape the winery! Ready?
15:30 p.m.: Visit to the village of Bourg and Wine house. The latter will be delighted to welcome you and offer you the wines of Cotes de Bourg at the same price as at the property! You can also get good advice on wines based on your tastes and can taste.
17h: Tasting tour at Château Jacquet en Bordeaux Bordeaux SupérieurTo round off the day, the Letourneau family welcomes you for a tasting tour of their vintages in St André de Cubzac. We recommend calling them before coming!
Let yourself be rocked by nature
10h-12h: Saint-André de Cubzac Market, stop under the Eiffel Bridge and a stroll around the port of Cubzac-les-Ponts. This morning we wander along the market aisles and stroll along the river. We take our time, we relax, we open our eyes wide, we breathe...
12:15-14:30 p.m.: Lunch at Charlot mill in Marcenais. This is the perfect spot in nature to enjoy a lunch of homemade dishes! Beneath the trees and not far from the water, let yourself be lulled by the surrounding calm...
15 p.m.: Visit of the ornithological park Terres d’OiseauxChoose your route and take your time observing the 130 species visible in the park. Stop at the observation huts and with your binoculars, try to spot the birds whose explanatory visuals you will find on the walls of the observatories.
19h: Aperitif cruise on the estuary of the Gironde (only certain Thursdays in summer). Before leaving, treat yourself to a friendly and zen break on the Gironde estuaryAn unforgettable moment at the mercy of the waves!

Lunch on Patiras Island
Lunch on Patiras Island departing from Blaye. The Ilout boat welcomes you on board from 11 a.m. and takes you to Patiras IslandDuring this cruise, the captain will be delighted to share his knowledge and anecdotes about the largest estuary in Europe, the Gironde.
Once on the island, you can climb to the lighthouse to admire the 360° panorama of the islands and vineyards, then you will have lunch, sometimes sitting or standing, as you wish. A day off the beaten track from which you will leave with stars in your eyes...
A day in Blaye
A day in Blaye to discover the citadel listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and sail on the Gironde estuary at the heart of the defense system set up by Vauban, the Verrou.
Cruises take place only in July and August and allow you to get up close to Fort Pâté and Fort Médoc. To visit the citadel, make your choice: the tourist train, soldiers' booklet, the guided tour of the underground passages or while strolling. The citadel of Blaye is free and open all year round.
Winegrower's feast at Château Chasserat
Winegrower's Feast at Château Chasserat in Blaye, Côtes de Bordeaux, in Cartelégue. Franck welcomes you for a coffee before introducing you to his horses, who help him daily in his vineyard work. Those who wish can try their hand! After the effort, comes the reward!
The winemaker cooks right in front of you on his homemade barbecue and invites you to share his lunch in the château garden, shaded by the trees. He also gives you a tour of his cellars and shares his wines with you. A day out, just like at home, to be enjoyed with your family!
