Port des Callonges

Here is a typical port on the Gironde Estuary where fishing boats and pleasure boats moor. On the banks, the carrelets are scattered, these small wooden fishermen's huts built on stilts. A pontoon has been set up to accommodate passenger boats. Kayak outings are organized in summer, a mini farm is present and offers various walks. The “Terres d'Oiseaux” site near the port offers everyone the chance to enjoy the ornithological richness of the marshes. A guinguette and a restaurant with a panoramic view allow you to eat and enjoy the tourist facilities.
Two important events are organized: the port festival on July 14 and Carrelets night on August 15.
