Château L'Insoumise

Château l'Insoumise has existed since the 17th century but only since the beginning of the 21st under this name (formerly Domaine de Beychevelle). The building previously belonged to the Cousteau family. Both young oenologists, we took over the property in August 2007. Around the buildings extends a park shaded by century-old trees from which we enjoy an unparalleled view of the Dordogne. Our vineyard covers 26 ha in the Bordeaux and Bordeaux Supérieur appellations, entirely in Organic Agriculture. It has 4 grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and 1 ha of old Malbec, as well as 1 ha of Sauvignon blanc. The clay-limestone soils give a very particular character to our wines, very rich in aromas and tannins.
