Located on the right bank of the Gironde, the first vines of this vineyard in Côtes de Bourg were planted by the Romans. A prestigious XNUMXth century residence, Château Eyquem served as a summer residence for Louis d'Eyquem, a member of the family of the famous philosopher Michel Eyquem de Montaigne.
At the confluence of the Dordogne and the Garonne, this castle dominates the Gironde estuary with an incredible belvedere. Its clay-limestone terroir with a loamy tendency benefits from a microclimate due to the proximity of rivers.
Owners since the XNUMXth century, we have restored and enlarged the vineyard and completely restored the château. Faithful to our philosophy of respect for the environment, we operate Château Eyquem in the spirit of sustainable cultivation.
Tasting visit from Monday to Friday at 11 a.m. and 15 p.m. (3 wines tasted) and outside, please call us before.
