By acquiring Maison Maritch in 2010, itself founded in 1984, Karine and Frédéric Blanleil embarked on the adventure.
Frédéric had worked for over 15 years as a master chocolatier at this confectionery shop. It was therefore quite natural for him to continue in the tradition of this establishment, renowned for the quality of its products.
By continuing its 100% artisanal work using fresh products, the range of confectionery and pastries continues to grow, much to the delight of young and old alike. Its specialty is the famous “Figue de Bourg” (a creation by Daniel Maritch made with chocolate, fig, and almond paste), a local specialty that originated from the visit of Louis XIV to the village of Bourg.
